The Marine Corps was formed on 10 November 1775 by the Second Continental Congress, with the first Marines enlisting under Commandant Samuel Nicholas.

But it was not until 1921 that the Marine Corps began clelbrating that historic day officially as its birthday.

On 10 November 2025 the United States Marine Corps will celebrate Two-hundred-fifty years as a Corps. What a truly momentous ocassion in our history.

As we contiune to stand strong against adversity, facing the many challenges that we are sent to handle around the globe, We here at MCL Detachment 1063 want to say Happy Birthday brother and sister! Semper Fidelis!!!
